The ESCAPIES evacuation mat is placed between the mattress and the bed slats, allowing nursing home residents to be evacuated by a single staff member. Bed-ridden residents lying on an ESCAPIES evacuation mat can be slid across a variety of surfaces and through f.e. narrow staircases.
The evacuation mat can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergents, for example disinfecting agent. Do not use phenol or solvents.
